Trapping Principle

The trap lures fleas and other pests by utilizing light, heat, color and scent, taking advantage of insects’ phototaxis and thermotaxis. The retina of phototactic insects contains a pigment that absorbs light of a specific wavelength and triggers a photoreaction. This stimulates the optic nerve, which signals the motor organs via the nervous system, making the insects move toward the light source and fall into the trap for effective capture.

Notes

1.For optimal trapping performance, replace the glue board timely once around 70% of its surface is covered with pests (glue boards are available in our store).
2.If the flea trap catches no pests after staying in one spot for a week or longer, relocate it. Replace the glue board if no pests are trapped within two to three weeks.
3.For indoor use only, or places protected from rain. Do NOT use outdoors or in damp environments.
4.Turn off the power before replacing the bulb or glue board.
5.It is not recommended to run the unit nonstop for extended periods. Power it off for at least 2 hours per day to avoid burning out the bulb.
